CLAIM AND HARM

Civil and public liability covers the following areas:

• 1- Work accidents

  Compensation may be claimed in situations of negligence on the part of the employer arising from a lack of safety measures at work or any other cause, when the worker has suffered physical damage that may be claimed from the company and from the company providing the employers’ liability insurance.

  Claims for accidents at work may be made before the civil, criminal or social courts.

• 2- Liability of the Public Administration

  This involves the claim of damages against town councils, or regional or national government the malfunction of which has caused bodily harm to citizens.

• 3- Other compensable situations

  -Insurance contracts.
  -Attacks by animals.
  -Damages originating from a defective product or service.

These, like traffic accidents, are some typical situations in which the injured party should not have to assume and is therefore entitled to compensation.
